Here are the new Scripture Mastery mnemonics for the Old Testament. One of the most useful (yet hardest) parts of scripture mastery is helping your students to memorized the key words to the references. Mnemoics are a great way to help your students with this. The first page is instructions on how to use the mnemonics effectively. Many teachers print off the mnemonic for the week they are spotlighting that scripture mastery.
This second item is all 25 Mastery mnemonics on 2 pages. This way you can print a front/back handout for each student and they can quiz each other. Could you make the mnemonics without the reference?

Great question. Moses was 40 days with the Lord as we learn in Exodus 34 (heading). So the real question is, was he fasting during the 40 days. It is a common Jewish tradition that he was fasting, but it does not say either way in the text. So I just went with the tradition. But there are things that have no basis. For instance, Abraham 3:22-23, were the Wise Men 22 to 23 years old. Probably not. It is totally made up to support the SM Mnemonic. So I just tell the kids when it is just something made up. Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the reference. I do see that in Ex 24:18, Moses is on the mountain for 40 days. And then again in Ex 34: 28 along with the note that "he did neither eat bread, nor drink water."
